Bogota, Colombia
Colombian police officer Carlos Alberto Ocampo (C) embraces his family upon arriving at Bogota's army airport of Catam, after he was released as a hostage by Colombian FARC rebels February 13, 2011. Ocampo, kidnapped on December 27, 2010 by the rebels, was released on Sunday in a humanitarian mission headed by former Colombian senator Piedad Cordoba in Colombia's Tolima province. The FARC, or Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, often frees a few hostages each year in an attempt to gain political capital, but the government dismisses any chance of peace talks until the FARC frees all its captives and ends hostilities.
