A Roma man sits amid his wares in one of eastern Europe's largest flea markets near Devecser
A Roma man sits amid his wares in one of eastern Europe's largest flea markets near Devecser October 6, 2012. Many local Roma earn a living selling items thrown away in Austria and Germany, an activity despised by the majority of Hungarians. In July, a bloody conflict between Roma and Hungarians prompted the far-right Jobbik party to organised a big protest in Devecser, after which extremists marched to the Roma part of town, throwing half-bricks into Roma houses. Deadly violence was only narrowly avoided. Picture taken October 6. To match story HUNGARY-FARRIGHT/ REUTERS/Laszlo Balogh (HUNGARY - Tags: POLITICS CIVIL UNREST SOCIETY IMMIGRATION)
