A jet plane flies past the moon as it heads north past the nation's capital Washington D.C., late July 30, 2004. A full moon will appear for the second time this month on Saturday, a cosmic phenomenon termed "blue moon." According to planetarium specialists, a "blue moon" takes place about once every two-and-a-half years. The last time a full moon appeared twice during the same month was in November of 2001.
