FILE PHOTO SHOWING FORMER ARGENTINE SOCCER STAR MARADONA AT COPA AMERICA IN BRAZIL.
File photo showing former Argentine soccer star Diego Maradona (L) arriving for the Copa America soccer tournament in Goiania, Brazil on June 30, 1989. Maradona, still in intensive care on April 20, 2004 two days after falling ill with heart and breathing problems, has improved slightly but still needs help to breathe, his doctors said. Maradona arrived at the clinic in a serious, feverish condition on Sunday with breathing difficulties and a swollen heart, after watching a local soccer game. Doctors say he has also developed pneumonia. Maradona, who has been living at a clinic in Cuba since 2000 where he has been undergoing treatment for drug use, arrived in Buenos Aires last month to visit his homeland for the first time in more than one year.
