Noville, multiple countries
Mud is sifted after having gone through a derrick in Noville near Montreux May 5, 2010. The Swiss company Petrosvibri is drilling in search of an hydrocarbon deposit under the Lake Leman and estimates its chance of discovery to 20 percent to find natural gas, the volume it expects to find would cover the Swiss national consumption for 20 years. If nothing is found the site could be used to store CO2, an agreement has been signed with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne to conduct further research.
